# Asset Recovery

What to do if you lose access to your device, wallet, or login.

Blackboard is self-custodial and does not store your private keys. If you lose your keys, recovery may be impossible.

## Privy Embedded Wallet

Privy wallets are linked to your social login. No seed phrase backup needed — if you can access your social account, you can access your wallet.

1. Visit [blackboard.fi](https://blackboard.fi)
2. Sign in with the **same social login** you used originally
3. Privy reassembles the MPC key shards and restores your wallet
4. Verify your balances and positions

## Device Loss

Your assets remain on-chain regardless of what happens to your device.

1. **Secure your social account**: Change password and reset 2FA from another device
2. **Sign in from a new device**: Follow the Privy recovery steps above
3. **Revoke Session Keys**: Revoke all existing Session Keys in settings
4. **Check activity**: Verify no unauthorized trades occurred

## External Wallet

Recovery depends on your wallet's seed phrase.

1. Install the wallet app on a new device
2. Enter your 12/24-word seed phrase
3. Connect the restored wallet to Blackboard
4. Verify balances and positions

## Session Key Reset

1. Sign in to Blackboard
2. Navigate to **Settings > Session Key**
3. Revoke the existing key
4. Approve a new one
5. Verify trading works normally

Your assets exist on-chain independent of Blackboard.

Tokens held in your wallet, including spot assets and trading cards, can be accessed by connecting the same wallet to any other on-chain interface. Physical cards remain redeemable through CollectorCrypt.
