# Withdrawal

Blackboard is self-custodial, so you can withdraw freely at any time.

## How to Withdraw

1. Select **Withdraw** from your Portfolio.
2. Enter the asset and amount to withdraw.
3. Enter the destination wallet address.
4. Confirm the network.
5. Click **Execute Withdrawal**.

Withdrawals are on-chain transactions. Always double-check the address and network. Transfers to an incorrect address cannot be recovered.

## Withdrawal Eligibility

* **Unused margin**: Only balances not allocated to positions can be withdrawn
* **Open positions**: Only the balance remaining after maintenance margin can be withdrawn
* **Funds in protocol accounts**: Move funds back to your Blackboard Wallet first, then withdraw
